Thirteen-year-old Alice wishes her life was completely different. Then one morning she wakes up and it is. Alice is taken through a series of parallel universes, reliving the same ten minutes over and over again. Maybe different isn‘t all it‘s cracked up to be, but once you‘ve started on a path, can you go back to normality? A play about family, string theory, and breakfast.

Variations was first commissioned and produced by National Theatre Connections in 2019.
