This Wonderful Life is a one-man play beautifully acted by Jeremy Kendall. Based on the iconic 1946 holiday favorite film “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the production brings to life more than 32 characters in an amazing display of physical and verbal virtuosity. Kendall portrays George Bailey and the whole cast of lovable characters from Bedford falls, including Clarence the Angel, Mary, Zuzu, and all the townsfolk who rely on him to save them from the greedy Mr. Potter. Like the film, the play centers on George, a man who has given up his dream in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence shows George all of the lives he has touched and how different life in his community would be had he never been born. Jeremy’s 75-minute tour-de-force is at once inspiring, funny, poignant, and, most of all, uplifting.
Jeremy Kendall is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA and Equity and has more than 20 years’ experience in film, television and theatre.
Written by Steve Murray, conceived by Mark Setlock, adapted from the screenplay “It’s a Wonderful Life,” by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra, and Jo Swerling.
