The Water Engine
Written by David Mamet
Directed by Brenda Bynum & James Jenner
The Water Engine is set in a radio studio in Chicago which is broadcasting a series of short plays held together under the title of “A Century of Progress.” The particular play to be broadcast is based on the recurrent, semi-paranoid legend about a man who invents an engine that runs on water, but the invention is taken from him and suppressed by sinister capitalist forces.
