Constellations

By Nick Payne
Directed by Lynn Goodwin
Starring Scott Harrison and Alexandra Renzo

Nick Payne’s Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s also about quantum multiverse theory, love, and honey. The play follows a man and woman from a simple meeting into buoyant permutations of their relationship that unfold in multi-universes. One relationship. Infinite possibilities.

Engrossing, humorous and impactful, Constellations is particularly relevant. “The play highlights the impact of individual choices,” says director Lynn Goodwin. “Ultimately, human compassion is tested as these characters bump against unmovable fate.”

An international hit, Constellations won the Evening Standard Best Play Award and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Play. The New York Times states, “Constellations . . . may be the most sophisticated date play Broadway has seen. . . .And though Constellations is a supremely articulate play, it knows that words inevitably fail, that they are never enough to bind two people together forever.”

This is a Just Say It Theatre production. As a member of Theater Santa Fe, Just Say It Theater is thrilled to be working at the Adobe Rose Theatre and excited to collaborate with the community, filling the space with this provocative play to help keep live theater alive.
