Julesworks Follies #54 Life Changing Edition

Julesworks 54 v2.jpg

Julesworks rides again, after a not-planned longer-than-usual hiatus in the six-year history of Santa Fe’s longest-running not-quite-monthly live variety show presenting Theatre, Music, Comedy, Stand Up Spoken Words, and much more.

Having bid farewell, at least for a spell, to one of the recent longest-running loyal performers in Johnny Broomdust, the core trope is refocusing and welcoming some new artists—as well as welcoming back some previous ones—to come together to share with Santa Fe audiences a showcase of an array of talent in Northern New Mexico.

Jules, Chris Diestler, Danette Sills, Rose Provan, and Yvette Michelle Martinez, with our youth outreach sensation GabeCat, as well as Professor Ferg, form the core crew to present the skits, plus Devon Ludlow might be our surprise guest return performer with his amazing unique puppetry, and more and more.

And returning with original music should be our resident musician Gregg Turner, carrying on his tradition of playing the opening song, and our long-time loyal performer Experimentalist Andy Kirkpatrick. Also sharing music (hopefully) will be Liam Sills and friend(s) who played in last October’s Jules-less Julesworks Follies, with their drum kit and other musical set up.

Also, we expect returns and newcomers for our Open-Slot Slot in which other audience members can jump up at the end of the show to share a short performance piece!

In the theme of “Life-Changing Summer Edition,” the skits being prepared include Rose’s Melodrama, Millennial Problems, some short interstitials including a glimpse into the writing of George RR Martin, some glimpses at various life-changing goals of Julesworksers as they visit their life coach, and much more.

The Core Troupe, along with some of the Loyalists, will also present more of their recurring skits and characters including CatTalk, Chatting with God, and more, to sometimes involve audience members, also with Back in the Day reminiscing with Y Biz Miz & GabeCat, Free Falling with Prof Ferg Q&A session about the best way to spend the summer and more . . . and A Lil Bit Present by Jules HisSelf Retro FlashBack Forward Literary Comedic Artsy Outburst with Help from Jules Friends & The Audience.
