Conversation with F. Murray Abraham

Conversation with F. Murray Abraham

Sunday • April 25 • 4 p.m. MDT (11 p.m. GMT)

Join the Shakespeare Guild for a wide-ranging dialogue with F. Murray Abraham, a Gielgud laureate who earned an Academy Award as Antonio Salieri in the film version of Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus, and has riveted us as Dar Adal in TV’s Homeland series. He played Shylock in a Theatre for a New Audience production of The Merchant of Venice that mesmerized playgoers not only in New York but in Stratford-upon-Avon. This conversation will be co-hosted by cabaret artist Shana Farr, and it will be presented under the auspices of The Players.

A link will be provided soon, on The Players Club’s calendar page or their Facebook page for those who wish to watch this conversation and submit questions for consideration.

It’s a pleasure to remind you that recordings of these dialogues—like those of recent exchanges with performers F. Murray Abraham, Jim Dale, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, and John Douglas Thompson, director Sir Richard Eyre, and authors Stephen Greenblatt of Harvard and James Shapiro of Columbia—will remain accessible, free of charge, on the Guild website. So if you’ve missed any of them, or would like to watch them again, you can always do so.
