Closer Than Ever is a musical revue which Maltby and Shire have described as a "bookless book musical,” and which won the 1989 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical. Each song is a story. The composer and lyricist based many of the songs on the real-life experiences of their friends, or stories told to them. Roughly twenty songs intertwine insightful tales about love, security, happiness, and self-definition in an ever-changing world.

Featuring a talented cast of local performers (Danielle Amendola, Zane Burden, Aubrey Hicks, Caiti Lord, Dalia Melendez, and Nadine Pineda), the production is Directed by Marilyn Barnes with Kathleen Ritch as Musical Director and accompanist extraordinare. Sarah Leblanc is the Technical Director, and costumes are by Anne de May of Costumes! Ltd.

Again, this is not virtual, not over your computer! The masked audience will sit at <75% capacity on a backyard paved patio while the performance takes place on the raised porch/stage.
