New Mexico Actors Lab
Founded in 2014 by Dr. Robert Benedetti and a group of fellow actors, New Mexico Actors Lab is one of the most acclaimed, cutting-edge theater companies in Santa Fe and in the state. NMAL engages audiences in full seasons of high-quality, intimately staged productions of artistically and socially relevant plays that speak to the mind and heart. Our growing ensemble of professional actors, directors, and designers is dedicated to collaboration, experimentation, and outreach. We are working to keep the dream of a repertory company offering an annual season alive because we believe it produces the best possible results for audiences and artists alike.
We are, in the words of the Santa Fe Reporter, “the ever-trustworthy New Mexico Actors Lab.” With 15 fully-staged productions and 12 free staged play readings over the last 6 years, our steady growth is a testament to the consistent quality of our productions. When we reopen in 2021, we will be housed for the first time in our own venue, The Actors Lab (the former Adobe Rose and Swan theater) and plan a full season of five plays.
