THE THEATRE LOVERS CLUB PRESENTS

The themes and ideas that are explored in The Big Heartless, such as the role that technology plays in our lives today, the effects of isolation on young and old alike, and the critical need to look after each other and the natural world invite in-depth discussion. How does a playwright put all of this together with both humor and gravitas? What is the best way for the director to convey all of these ideas with grace and celerity? And how do you give the script a life on stage?

The Big Heartless’ Playwright Dale Dunn and Director Lynn Goodwin will provide us with an inside look at their playwriting, directing, and production processes, with special attention paid to the issues that attend the production of a new play.

FREE!

Doors open at 5:30 pm for light refreshments and conversation before the talk.
