In The Seafarer, McPherson uses the literal darkness of the Christmas season as a backdrop to underscore the essential elements of humor, family, friendship (and whiskey), which allow us to rise above our worst mistakes and deepest fears. In this Irish story, Sharky, arrested for killing a vagrant, agrees to a card game in an effort to gain his freedom. His wager turns out to be for so much more.
NMAL invites Theatre Lovers Club members to a preview performance that includes a special talkback following the show with Director Matt Sanford and Artistic Director Nicholas Ballas, who performs as Richard in the play.
