International Shakespeare Center Santa Fe presents
The Rover
Long Dead But Well Read staged reading series concludes with the topsy turvy world of carnival in Naples. The ISC Experimental Ensemble convenes in the morning, rehearses a play of one of Shakespeare’s (in this case not quite) contemporaries during the day, and performs for an audience (script in hand) in the evening! This week we explore one of the most famous restoration plays written by England's first professional female playwright, Aphra Behn.
