As part of the Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare festival, Ironweed Productions journeys to the roots of Western Drama and into the haunting, darkly comic, and provocative world of Euripides' masterful Greek tragedy, The Bacchae.
Ironweed Artistic Director Scott Harrison and Dmetrius Conley-Williams explore the razor's edge struggle for power and vengeance between Pentheus, king of Thebes, and the Greek god Dionysus in a staged reading of a series of electrifying scenes from the play.
